I have had a lot of trouble posting anything lately, hence being a little behind. This is a 16x20 canvas of a reference I took last autumn. Much left to do for it, but it is a start!

- Name: Stoy Jones
For the most part, I'm a self-taught artist. I spent my life drawing and did a few freelance cartooning jobs for local businesses. By 2004, I turned my attention to painting by first experimenting with pastels, watercolors, and now settled on oils as the preferred medium. I am currently a member of the local artcenter and take classes to further my skills. What follows here are sketches, drawings, and paintings that I do to practice observation and improve draftsmanship. Enjoy!
